ECC 3 Clock Series - Tango Bistro Art show

It's been a while. Works kept me busy, but I've found a new hobby to design and build clocks from bike parts. This is a series of clocks with a title ECC 3 (Ecclesiastes 3) - "There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens..." So far I've completed 7 clocks with a couple more on the way. I hope you enjoy and they're for sale if you're interested. Come out to Tango Bistro to have a look: www.tangobistro.ca

eWriter / eReader design

The eWriter (name yet to be finalized) is a concept by Mischa Bertrand-Chetty. He's a local Calgarian with an entrepreneurial side who wants to develop the writer/reader and get into the notebook game. He provided me the specs and I began with sketching and finding various influences that could make this stand out. I suggested we go for a more vintage or classical look as opposed to the typical plastic laptop appearance. Old leather notebooks and journals came to mind and became the inspiration. It has a quality feel that should make it stand out in a crowded market.

'Best' Family Tree

Here's another departure from the car design. A good friend asked if I could create a Family Tree for their parents. I designed the tree, had it printed on canvas and made the frame from a cool old barn door. Calgary Canvas Printing did a great job on the printing. Thanks!

VeloMetro Mobility - Electric Velocar trike

Had the privilege of working with a cool innovative company called VeloMetro in Vancouver Canada. They hired me to be the lead designer for their funky Electric Velocar. Here's a brief write up from their site:
http://velometro.com/index.html
"We're building a sophisticated, enclosed, electric-assist, smartphone-connected vehicle, ideal for personal transportation in urban and suburban areas. Our VeloCars are human-powered, but with electric assist to help on hills and over longer distances. The enclosure protects users from inclement weather and the cargo space provides practical functionality for running errands. VeloCars replace automobiles, not bicycles, but they overcome the shortcomings of bicycles with all-weather use, lockable cargo space, and anti-theft provisions."

More pics to come, but here's some of the process:

*Updated - 5 New boards for Tango Bistro

Here's a second Totem Pole board I've done. This one has the Sun at the top, then an Eagle, a Wolf and at the base an Orca.

Totem - $340 SOLD

Following up from the Wolf (Alpha) and Lion (Pride) boards, I've made a Tiger. With this one I carved more of the eye out and left it the color of the wood. It works quite well as a golden eye.
Determination - $340 SOLD
Forebearer - SOLD $240

Vineyard -$280SOLD

Haida Hawk - $340 SOLD

This last Haida board was a give for a 1 year old boy named Hawksley on January 9. Happy birthday little man.
